The Architecture

Retell AI voice engine: Handles real-time speech synthesis and recognition. Business logic runs in Node and Express, keeping the voice layer swappable.

n8n orchestration: Manages the workflow between Shopify webhooks, the voice engine, and downstream tools. Bespoke enterprise flows are built here without touching core product code.

Multi-tenant PostgreSQL on Railway: Refactored for multi-tenant from day one so each brand's data, call history, and configuration stays isolated.

Pricing tiers: Shopify free tier at $0.75 per call. Shopify Pro at $499/month at $0.35 per call — designed to align Conversa's unit economics with store volume.
