Business Development Representative – Upwork & LinkedIn (BDR)

Job Description
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the front line of Tech Emulsion’s growth.
You’ll identify opportunities, start conversations, and convert interest into signed projects — supported by a skilled tech and delivery team.
Your work will directly influence our monthly revenue and client portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Lead Generation
- Drive new business via Upwork, LinkedIn, and cold email outreach.
- Identify high-value opportunities aligned with our services: SaaS Development, AI Automation, Mobile and Web Apps.
- Write personalized, value-driven proposals and messages that convert.
- Nurture relationships with startup founders, CTOs, and decision-makers.
Sales Operations
- Maintain a daily pipeline in CRM/Notion (lead → contact → call → deal → handoff).
- Conduct qualification calls to understand project scope, timeline, and budget.
- Collaborate with Tech Leads and Engineers to prepare estimates and proposals.
- Track KPIs — outreach volume, response rate, meetings booked, and conversions.
Market Intelligence
- Research emerging AI + software trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Analyze what kinds of clients convert best and refine targeting accordingly.
- Contribute to quarterly sales strategy reviews with actionable insights.
Brand & Content Support
- Oversee Tech Emulsion’s LinkedIn and social media presence — post updates, case studies, and success stories in collaboration with leadership.
- Engage with founders, communities, and prospects to amplify visibility.
- Support marketing campaigns and portfolio launches (case studies, newsletters, etc.).
Process & Documentation
- Maintain and improve SOPs for outreach, qualification, and follow-ups.
- Ensure every lead and deal is properly documented for reporting and handover.
- Suggest new tools or automations (e.g., n8n, Apollo, Instantly, Lemlist) to scale BD efficiency.

Requirements
- •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- •1+ year in a sales, lead generation, or business development role (preferably tech).
- •Fresh graduates with excellent communication and drive are welcome.
- •Exceptional written & verbal communication (English proficiency is a must).
- •Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Upwork, and email tools.
- •Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
- •A plus if you understand SaaS products, AI tools, or automation platforms.
